The Sony PS3. Now with built-in feelings of impending obseletion.

Sony PlayStation 4 slated for 2012 Release   

Based on information from Taiwanese component manufacturer, Sony will begin production of its PlayStation 4 console at the end of 2011, with deliveries to begin in 2012.

Two of the component makers of the PS3, Foxconn and Pegatron Technology will again make bits for the PS4.

The PS4 is rumoured to include body-capture controls, like the Microsoft Xbox Kinect system, and the initial production will be around 20 million units.

Of course, if you want brilliant graphics, body-motion tracking, a huge online community (that doesn't get hacked every five minutes) and you can't be bothered to wait until next year, the current XBox 360 isn't a bad choice.
